About this worksheet
Nine round, friendly sea animals drawn in thick black outlines, with the name printed in bold capitals underneath. A manatee, a beluga, a sea lion, a squid, an angelfish, an eel, a sea snail, a swordfish and a clam.
The heavy line is the point. A three or four year old holding a crayon in a fist cannot keep inside a fine outline, and a sheet that punishes them for it puts them off. These shapes are simple, closed and generous, so the coloring goes roughly where it is meant to and the page still looks right at the end.
The animals are also the less obvious ones. Plenty of preschool coloring sheets are a fish, a crab and a starfish; a manatee and a beluga give an adult something to talk about while the coloring is happening.
It downloads as a true vector PDF at 50 KB, so it prints crisp at any size and barely touches your ink.
