About this worksheet
Sixteen problems, and every one of them adds 2. The first numbers jump around from 1 all the way up to 18, so a child cannot just copy the pattern down the page, and a 0 to 20 number line runs along the bottom for counting on two hops. A smiling snail sits by the title.
Adding 2 is the easiest place to learn counting on: start at the bigger number, say the next two numbers, and stop. Once a child trusts that trick with 2, the same move works for adding 1 and 3. The page is plain line art, so it prints cheaply for a whole class.
