About this worksheet
Sixteen problems in soft blue, yellow, green and purple tiles, each with a box underneath for the answer. Most start from a teen number (14 + 3, 17 + 2, 11 + 8), and a few like 9 + 6 and 8 + 5 cross ten from below. A hedgehog with an apple and a bunny with a carrot sit at the bottom of the page.
Every answer falls between 12 and 19, which makes this a good next step once sums to 10 feel easy. Adding to a teen number mostly means adding to the ones digit and keeping the 1 in front, and a child who notices that will fly through the second half.
