Hopscotch Subtraction Worksheet for Kindergarten

About this worksheet

A hopscotch path numbered from 10 at the top down to 0 runs along the side of the page. The child starts on the first number, hops back as many squares as the problem says, and writes where they land.

A number path like this is easier than a number line for many young children, because each number sits in its own square and there are no gaps to miscount. The worked example, 5 − 2, shows two hops landing on 3.

It is also easy to take outside. Chalk a real hopscotch on the sidewalk and the same eight problems become something to jump through.
