Ordinal Numbers Worksheet: Balloon Instructions

About this worksheet

Three rows of balloons and a list of directions to carry out: draw a happy face on the first and fourth, a star on the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth, a box around the third, and so on. Kids read each instruction and act on the right balloon, so ordinals go from something you color to something you use.

This is a step up from the single-instruction coloring pages: the directions stack, mix odd and even positions, and use “last” as well as first through tenth. It doubles as a follow-directions and listening-comprehension workout, which is why it sits at Grade 1.
