Ordinal Numbers Worksheet: Train Car Instructions

About this worksheet

A train of cars pulling out of the station with a list of jobs for each one: draw a happy face in the first and fourth cars, a star on the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth, a window on the tenth, a box around the third, and so on. Kids count back from the engine to find the right car for every direction.

It shares the format of the balloon and duck pond sheets, several stacked directions across first through tenth plus “last”, so it works as a companion page or a fresh context for kids who have the idea and need more reps.
