About this worksheet
Eighteen problems like 70 − 30 and 90 − 40, all using multiples of 10. A hint at the top models the thinking: 8 tens − 2 tens = 6 tens, so 80 − 20 = 60.
A child who knows 8 − 2 already knows 80 − 20, and seeing that is a real step forward in number sense.
There is a score line out of 18 and a waving robot, and it stays plain enough to print for a whole class.
