About this worksheet

Eight bright balloons float across the page, each carrying a division problem, each with a line underneath for the answer. The quotients run from 2 all the way to 9, so no two balloons share a result and every answer is its own.

What lifts this above a plain fact page is the set of questions at the bottom. Once all eight are solved, a child is asked which balloon answers to 6, which one holds the largest answer and which one the smallest. That turns a row of finished sums into something to compare, and a child who rushed through and got one wrong usually finds it here rather than in a teacher’s marking. The balloons carry the color, so this one is worth printing in color if you can.

What students will practice

  • Divide within 100 with divisors 3 through 9
  • Compare quotients to find the largest and smallest
  • Answer a question about a set of results
