Market Day Equal Groups Division Worksheet Grade 3

About this worksheet

A market stall runs across the top of the page with a cat in an apron minding it, and below are four rows of produce laid out in equal groups: lemons in green trays, strawberries in white bowls, pumpkins in brown trays and plums in blue dishes. Each row states the total and the number of containers, and a child writes the division sentence that goes with the picture.

Because the fruit is actually drawn, a child can count to check themselves rather than trusting the arithmetic alone, which is the whole point of an equal groups sheet at this stage. The last challenge takes the support away and asks them to draw eighteen pears shared into three trays, so the page ends with them building the picture instead of reading one.
