About this worksheet

Sixteen division problems open the page in two columns, running up to 81 divided by 9, and three word problems follow underneath: muffins onto trays, pencils among students, eggs into cartons. Each story has its own line for the division sentence rather than just the answer.

Putting both halves on one page is the useful part. A child who is fluent with the numbers alone often stops dead when the same arithmetic arrives wrapped in a sentence, and having the two sections back to back makes that gap visible in a single sitting. The word problems reuse the range of facts practiced above them, so nothing in the second half depends on a fact the first half has not already covered.

What students will practice

  • Divide within 100 with divisors 3 through 9
  • Move from bare number problems to word problems
  • Write the division sentence a story calls for
