About this worksheet
Nine problems, three with three-digit dividends and six with four, each followed by a check line: quotient times divisor, plus the remainder, equals the dividend. Some come out even and some do not.
Checking is where division and multiplication meet, and it is the fourth grade version of the habit started in third grade. It also means a child can mark their own work. If the check does not land on the number they started with, they know which problem to try again.
What students will practice
- Divide three- and four-digit numbers
- Check a quotient with multiplication
- Add the remainder back in to get the dividend
