About this worksheet
Twelve problems, each a three-digit number divided by 2 through 9, with plenty of room under every one to show the work. Nothing here has a remainder, so the quotients land cleanly somewhere between 83 and 297.
This is the sheet to start on. With remainders out of the picture, a child can concentrate on the rhythm of long division (divide, multiply, subtract, bring down) and find out which step trips them up. It prints in plain black and white and is light on ink for a class set.
What students will practice
- Divide a three-digit number by a one-digit number
- Work through long division one place at a time
- Get comfortable with the steps before remainders arrive
