About this worksheet
Six rows of fruit patterns in full color, from apple, banana, apple, banana to strawberry, pear, lemon. At the end of each row, two fruits sit behind an arrow, and the child circles the one that comes next.
Picture patterns are often easier for young children than shape patterns, because a banana is more memorable than a rectangle. Naming the fruit while pointing (“orange, orange, grapes…”) turns the page into a chant, and the rhythm usually gives the answer away.
