About this worksheet
Six boxes of friendly garden bugs, each with three numbered circles beside it: two bees, four butterflies, one snail, three caterpillars, five dragonflies and three ants. The child counts the bugs and colors the circle with the right number.
The answer is colored in rather than written, so a three or four year old can show they can count a group of five before they can form the numeral. The choices sit close together, 3, 4 and 5 for the dragonflies, so a guess is easy to spot. It prints in black and white, and the bugs can be colored in afterward too.
