About this worksheet
Each row starts with a big number, 3, 5, 2 or 4, followed by three boxes of dinosaur things: speckled eggs, green footprints, little orange dinosaurs and jungle leaves. The child reads the number and circles the one group that has exactly that many.
This runs the opposite way from most counting pages. Instead of counting a group and finding its number, the child starts from the number and has to hold it in mind while checking each box. The wrong groups are always just one more or one less, so it rewards careful counting over a quick glance.
