About this worksheet
Five rows of fall harvest pictures, two red apples, four maple leaves, one acorn, five pine cones and three ears of corn, each with an empty box beside it. Down the right edge is a strip of numbers to cut out, and the child glues each one into the box that matches its row.
Cut and paste gives counting a hands-on finish that suits preschoolers, and the cutting is easy practice too: five chunky squares along dashed lines. Laying the cut numbers out on the table before gluing lets a child try an answer, count again and move it, which a pencil line does not allow. A squirrel in the corner fits the season, so it works well from September through November.
