About this worksheet
A big farm picture fills the top of the page: a barn, a tractor, two cows by the fence, two pigs at a mud puddle, three chickens and four sheep on the hill. Below it, five boxes show one animal each with three numbers to choose from, and the child counts that animal in the scene and circles the answer.
Counting things scattered across a picture is harder than counting a neat row, because a child has to keep track of which ones they have already counted. Pointing at each one, or making a small dot on it, is the habit worth showing here. The whole page is black and white line art, so the farm makes a good coloring page once the counting is done.
