About this worksheet

Five rows count up in order: one pineapple, two pears, three strawberries, four oranges and five plums. Each row shows the number printed big and bold, then two dotted copies to trace.

This is the gentlest page in the set and a good one to start with. The amounts go up by one each row, so a child sees the pattern of counting on, and the bold number next to the fruit puts the amount and the numeral side by side before they write it. Tracing is the first step toward writing numbers on their own.

What students will practice

  • Count from 1 to 5 in order
  • Connect each amount with its numeral
  • Trace the numbers 1 to 5
