About this worksheet
Four ice cream cones, each holding one to four scoops with a dotted scoop waiting on top. The child counts the scoops, traces the dotted one to add one more, and circles how many scoops the cone has now.
One more is a big early idea: adding one always lands on the next counting number. Tracing the extra scoop makes that change something a child does rather than something they are told, and recounting the whole cone afterward shows them the answer is just the next number along. It is a quiet first step toward addition.
