About this worksheet
Six ladybugs, each with a number on a leaf beside it: 3, 1, 5, 2, 4 and 3. The ladybugs have no spots yet, so the child reads the number and draws that many spots on its back.
Making a group is harder than counting one that is already there. A child has to hold the number in mind and stop drawing at the right moment, which is exactly the skill of counting out a set. Wobbly spots are fine. Counting them back out loud once the ladybug is finished is the quick check.
