About this worksheet
An ocean scene at the top holds ten sea animals all mixed together: three fish, two crabs and five starfish. Below it are three columns of boxes numbered 1 to 5, one for each animal, and the child counts each kind and colors one box per animal to build a graph.
It is a first taste of graphing, and the finished columns make it easy to see which animal there is most of without counting again. Sorting while counting is the tricky part, since the animals are mixed together, so crossing each one off as it is counted helps. The scene is in color and the graph is left plain for coloring.
