About this worksheet
Six boxes of safari animals ask the same question, how many? There is one elephant, two lions, three giraffes, four hippos, five zebras and two crocodiles, each with three numbers to choose from. The child counts and circles the answer.
The repeated question makes this an easy page to do with less help, since once a child knows what to do in the first box they can carry on alone. The zebras and hippos are arranged in clusters rather than lines, which is good practice at counting a group that is not laid out neatly. It is black and white line art, so the animals are ready for coloring.
