Six pictures, each with its first letter printed and a blank box for the rest. Along the bottom are six endings to cut out: et, op, us, ig, en and up.

Splitting a word after the first letter rather than after the vowel is what makes word families work, and it is often the moment blending clicks: pig is p and ig, not three separate sounds to hold in your head at once. Every ending fits exactly one picture, so a child who gets stuck can work by elimination and still end up reading the word. Scissors and glue make it slower than the other sheets, which for many children is the point.
