Animal Fact File Worksheet for Kids

About this worksheet

A blank fact file the child fills in for whichever animal they are studying. There is a box to draw the animal and another to draw its habitat, then checklists for animal group, body covering, diet and whether it is active by day, by night or both. Down the right side, lines for size, weight, lifespan, what the baby is called and where it is found, and three ruled lines at the foot for anything interesting that did not fit elsewhere.

Because the sheet is empty, it stretches or shrinks to the child in front of it. The same page carries a short list of facts about a pet rabbit or a full report on a snow leopard, which makes it worth printing a stack of and keeping to hand. It prints in black and white and barely touches your ink.
