Clothes and Colors Worksheet for Kindergarten

About this worksheet

Two skills on one page, clothing words and color words, each one holding the other up. Part A gives five colored pictures (a red cap, a blue t-shirt, green socks, a purple dress, yellow boots) and five color words to draw a line to, with exactly one word for each picture.

Part B is where the reading actually happens. Three items are printed as plain outlines with a color word underneath, so the child has to read orange, pink and brown with no color on the page to copy from, then reach for the right crayon. That reversal is what turns a matching exercise into a reading one, and it gives you a shorts, a sun hat and a pair of shoes to color in at the end.
