Number Towers Skip Counting Worksheet by 4s 25s and 100s
About this worksheet
Three towers of ten rungs with a cat sitting on top of each. The first two rungs and the last one are filled and the seven between them are empty. Four and eight up to forty, twenty-five and fifty up to two hundred and fifty, a hundred and two hundred up to a thousand.
This is the hardest sheet in the set and it is the one to give last. Counting by 4s and by 25s goes past where Grade 2 normally stops, so treat it as extension work for a child who has finished the number lines and the trains and wants something with more in it. The counts are named in the title so nobody is caught out.
Having both ends fixed is what makes it worth doing. A child who miscounts will not land on forty, or two hundred and fifty, or a thousand, and the tower tells them so without an adult in the room. Working out where the error crept in is most of the value.
