Four clocks run down the left of the page, each with four questions beside it. The first always asks what time is on the clock, and the three that follow move away from it: two hours later, an hour and twenty minutes earlier, three hours and forty minutes later. Answers go on a line beside each question.
Mixing forward and backward in the same block is what makes this harder than it looks. A child can get comfortable adding on and then be caught by the one that asks what time it was, and the twenty and forty minute jumps force them over the hour rather than letting them count in whole hours. Reading the clock correctly is only the first step here, which is the difference between this and a straight telling-time page.
