About this worksheet
Each row starts with a whole number and then shows it four more times as a fraction, with some numbers missing. The first row is filled in as a model, one equals one over one, two over two, three over three and four over four. The rows that follow run from 2 up to 6, and the child fills in the blanks.
A worked example at the top shows two orange circles cut in half to make four halves, so two equals four over two. That picture is the key to the whole page. Once it clicks that six over three means six thirds, which is two wholes, the missing numbers stop being guesswork. The denominators stay at 1, 2, 3 and 4, and the largest numerator is 24.
It is printed in color and is the most challenging sheet in this set.
