About this worksheet
Five numbered rows of shape patterns, each followed by two dotted boxes. The child draws the next two shapes to keep each pattern going, and there are three stars at the bottom to color in when it is done.
Drawing two shapes means a child has to keep the whole pattern in mind rather than just the last step. The rows cover circle, triangle; square, square, heart; triangle, circle, circle; heart, square, circle; and circle, circle, square, square. If the second box is where things go wrong, point back to the start of the row and say it out loud together.
