A footprint path winds through twelve numbered color pictures, from a child stretching awake under a sun in the corner to the same child asleep under a moon at the end. Between them: comb, zip, walk, write, paint, water, throw, bake, fold, feed and sleep, with a twelve-word bank across the top and a write-on box under each picture.
The day order is the reason to print this one. Because the pictures run in sequence, the sheet works as a talking activity before it works as a writing activity: ask what happens first, what happens next, and the verbs arrive in conversation before a pencil touches the page.
