About this worksheet

Eight close-up pictures run down the left of this one, each drawn in full color: an eye, a head of hair, a pair of lips, a bare back, a foot, an ear, an open hand and a nose. The words sit in rounded cream buttons on the right, in a different order, waiting to be joined up.

Close-up drawings are what make this harder than it looks, and that is deliberate. A foot and a hand share a shape once you crop away the rest of the body, and a child who is skimming will connect the wrong one. Slowing down to check the picture before committing to a line is the actual skill here. Eight pairs is roughly twice the work of a five-pair sheet, so it suits the middle of the kindergarten year rather than the very start.
