What Goes in Each Room? Parts of the House Worksheet

About this worksheet

Five room names, each with three color pictures in a row. Only one belongs: the stove goes in the kitchen, not the bike or the bathtub, and the lawn mower goes in the garage, not the fridge or the toothbrush.

The wrong answers are what make it fun. A toaster or a car in the bedroom gets a giggle, and asking where the silly picture really goes turns one answer into three. It is a good first step toward the cut and paste sorting pages that follow.

What students will practice

• Decide which object belongs in each room
• Read kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room and garage
• Explain why the other two pictures do not fit
