About this worksheet
Ten two-digit subtraction problems, each followed by an addition sentence to check it: solve 63 - 28, then see whether the answer plus 28 gets back to 63. Most of the problems need regrouping, and a worked example sits at the top.
Checking with addition gives a child a way to catch their own mistakes without asking an adult, and it shows that subtraction and addition undo each other. That idea comes back on the missing number sheet.
