About this worksheet
Twelve two-digit subtraction problems, each set in its own tens and ones chart with a spare row at the top for the regrouped digits. Every problem needs regrouping, and a rocket and planet in the corners can be colored in once the work is done.
Writing each digit in a labeled column makes it obvious what regrouping really means: the tens digit goes down by one and the ones get ten more. It is a good bridge between base ten blocks and plain column subtraction.
What students will practice
- Subtract two-digit numbers with regrouping
