About this worksheet
Ten three-digit numbers in a table, and for each one the child writes the number that is 10 less and the number that is 100 less, all in their head. A worked example at the top shows 365 becoming 355 and 265.
Subtracting 10 changes only the tens digit and subtracting 100 changes only the hundreds, which is the place value idea that every three-digit subtraction sheet after this relies on. A kite in the corner gives it a little color.
