About this worksheet
Fifteen column problems that take a two-digit number away from a three-digit one, like 724 - 18. Six of them need regrouping in the ones, and the direction reminds children to start with the ones, then the tens, then the hundreds.
Lining up numbers of different lengths is the new challenge here, and it is where most mistakes with three digits begin. It prints in black and white with a dump truck in the corner, so it is easy on ink for a whole class.
