About this worksheet
A tall ice cream cone with ten scoops to color by position: color the first scoop red, the seventh orange, the tenth blue, and on down the list. Because the scoops stack from the cone up, kids practice counting to each ordinal instead of reading them straight down the page.
Stretching all the way to tenth makes this a step up from the five-layer cake, and the mixed-up order (first, then seventh, then tenth) keeps kids finding each position rather than coloring in a row.
What students will practice
- Read position words first through tenth
- Count scoops up from the cone to find each position
- Color each scoop the color it names
