About this worksheet
A big 5 to trace along the arrows sits next to five butterflies, with the word five and “5 butterflies” printed underneath. Below that comes a row of dotted 5s to trace, a ten frame of butterflies where a child colors exactly 5, and a row of mixed numbers with three 5s hiding in it to find and circle.
The 5 is written in two parts too, and the numbered dots on the big model show where each stroke starts. Five butterflies arranged like the dots on a die give a first look at recognizing a small amount at a glance.
