About this worksheet
Two parts on one page. In the first, six sentences to complete with and, but or or: My dog is small but very loud. Is your birthday in June or July? In the second, four more sentences come with bubbles for and, but, or and because.
Keeping the first part to three words lets a child settle into the pattern. Or shows up in questions that offer a choice, but signals a surprise, and and simply adds. Then because arrives in part B, and a child has to notice that We put on our boots because it started to snow is giving a reason, not adding a second thing.
It suits a lesson where conjunctions are new, or a quick review the day after.
