About this worksheet

A big leafy tree with grandpa and grandma at the top, mom and dad in the middle, and a brother and sister out on the lower branches. A basket of six words sits at the bottom of the page, and the child writes the right one on the line under each person.

The tree does more than hold the pictures. It lays the family out in generations, so a child sees grandparents above parents above children and gets a first feel for what a family tree actually shows. Six words for six people means the last few can be worked out from what is left, which keeps the page from stalling near the end.
