About this worksheet
Five farm pictures, each beside a short sentence with one missing word: a hen on a crate, a goat jumping over a hay bale, a pig in a tub, a sheep in front of the barn and a cat under the cart. The word bank across the top has exactly five words, so each is used once.
The pictures do the hard part. A child only has to look at where the animal is and find the word that says so, which is how position words are best learned at this age. The tractor and barnyard line art can be colored in once the writing is done.
What students will practice
- Choose the position word that matches a picture
