About this worksheet
Six portraits in a grid, each with a short sentence to finish: He is my, or She is my. The word box at the top holds mom, dad, sister, brother, grandma and grandpa, one for each picture.
The sentence frame is what makes this a step up from labeling. A child is writing a whole thought about a person, not just a name under a picture, and the he and she at the start are a quiet clue about which words can fit. It is a natural first brush with pronouns before anyone has used the word.
