About this worksheet

Ten bright pictures in a two-column grid, cornered by little ABC alphabet blocks: a sun, a pig, a net, a box, a hat, a cup, a dog, a hen, a bib, and a van. Each word is printed with its vowel missing, s_n, p_g, n_t, and kids write the letter that finishes it.

The illustrations are in full color here rather than line art, so there is nothing to color in and nothing to slow a child down. That makes it the quicker of the ten-word pages: hand it over when you want the phonics on its own, and save the black-and-white versions for when you want the coloring time too.
