About this worksheet
Twenty three-digit problems in a boxed grid, and no column in any of them adds up to 10 or more. The child adds the ones, the tens, then the hundreds, and writes each digit straight down.
With regrouping off the table, the only new idea is the hundreds column. Use it as the first look at three-digit addition, or as a quick confidence win before the regrouping sheets.
What students will practice
- Add three-digit numbers in columns
- Add ones, then tens, then hundreds
- Work within 1000 without regrouping
