About this worksheet
Thirty one-digit problems stacked in columns, with a time box and a score out of 30. Every sum lands between 10 and 18, so each one crosses 10.
Those bridging problems are the ones children are slowest on, which makes this a focused five-minute warm up. A child who counts on their fingers for 8 + 7 can try making 10 first (8 + 2, then 5 more) and usually speeds up quickly.
