About this worksheet
Twenty two-digit problems written across the page instead of stacked, with a line for each sum. Every one regroups, and the sums run from 44 to 97.
Horizontal problems ask a child to pick a method. Some will rewrite each one in columns, others will add the tens and then the ones in their head (36 + 47 is 70, then 13 more makes 83). Either works, and which one a child reaches for tells you a lot about where they are.
What students will practice
- Add two-digit numbers written across
- Regroup when the ones make 10 or more
