Color the Answer: Kindergarten Addition Worksheet

About this worksheet

Twelve addition problems, six to a side, each with three boxes underneath holding possible answers. The child adds, then colors the box that shows the sum. The first problem is shaded in as the example.

This is the longest of the color-the-answer sheets in the set, and it is the one to reach for once a child has stopped counting every problem from one. The sums run from 2 + 1 up to 6 + 4, and several near-misses are deliberate: 5 + 2 offers 8, 7 and 6, so a child who is off by one lands on a wrong box rather than stumbling into the right one.

It prints in plain black and white, so a class set costs almost nothing in ink, and children can color the boxes with whatever they like rather than hunting for one particular shade.
