Sum It Up: Kindergarten Addition Worksheet to 10

About this worksheet

Nine problems, four answer boxes apiece, and a blue box already colored on the first row to show what to do. The child adds the two numbers and colors the box holding the sum.

Three of the nine problems add zero: 0 + 1, 0 + 6 and 8 + 0. Kindergarteners meet zero later than they meet the counting numbers, and a sheet that keeps returning to it does more good than one that treats it as a novelty. The rest climb to 7 + 2 and 6 + 4, with 10 turning up as an answer choice twice so the number itself stops looking unfamiliar.

Rows are tall and generously spaced, which matters when a child is still tracking across a page with a finger and losing their place between one problem and the next.
