About this worksheet

Fourteen problems, two columns, one box per answer. Plain and unfussy, with nothing on the page but the math.

Three of the pairs make exactly 10: 8 + 2, 4 + 6 and 9 + 1. The pairs that make ten are the ones a child will lean on for years, in mental math and later in carrying, so meeting them repeatedly at this stage pays off well beyond the sheet.

This is the version to print when you want the plainest possible page, whether that is for a child who finds decorated worksheets distracting, or for a class set where the ink budget is real. It costs almost nothing to run off thirty copies.
