Ticket to Ten: Kindergarten Addition Worksheet

About this worksheet

Six problems, each drawn as a cinema ticket with a perforated stub. The problem sits on the stub, three answers sit on the body of the ticket, and the child colors the one that matches.

Six problems on a full page means everything is large. The numbers are bold and heavy, the boxes are wide, and there is nothing to crowd a child who is still deciding which way round to read an equation. The set opens at 1 + 0 and finishes at 2 + 8, so it spans the whole range without ever piling on.

Tickets are also the easiest shape to cut out. Snip along the dashed lines and six children get one each, which turns a printout into a quick round of the class.
